Laynee Hokanson, DVM
Dr Hokanson earned her doctorate at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has had a lifelong love for animals that led her to volunteering at Warner Center Pet Clinic as a very young girl. Laynee was fortunate enough to tag along with her best friend, who was the daughter of an employee (she was too young to officially volunteer). When she turned 16, she became an official volunteer, then an official employee. She was here after school, weekends and holidays. We were thrilled when she was accepted into vet school at Iowa State and Dr Jackson has mentored her all the way through. We even had a countdown timer for her graduation!
Dr Hokanson is an extremely intuitive practitioner and she enjoys a challenge. She is also very accomplished at surgery from ceserean sections to splenectomies. She has a special affinity for Boxers. You will ofter find her on the floor snuggling with pets between appointments or writing up charts with a clients chihuahua on her lap. She is currently available for appointment five days per week.
